Bourgogne Côte D’Or Rouge

The wine exhibits a cherry red color, with deep ruby highlights. The nose expresses notes of cherry, blackcurrant, blackberry, with pomegranate and peony nuances. The palate is supple and delicate, with fine tanins and a juicy fruit material that follows through to a fresh, light finish.

Producer advice
Its freshness and fruity personality will brighten up your aperitifs accompanied by a mixed charcuterie and cheese plate, a gourmand salad, or a toasted sandwich. Pair with grilled poultry, white meat, or a roast served with vegetables. Light, soft and semi-soft cheeses would also make lovely companions to highlight the quality of the Bourgogne Côte d’Or appellation.

The BOURGOGNE CÔTE D’OR vineyards stretch out over 65 km, with a width of 1-2 kilometers, from Dijon to Maranges. The Côte d’Or geographically encompasses the Côte de Beaune and the Côte de Nuits. The reputation of the wines from this area is such that the region has been named after the vineyards since the French Revolution.

In 2017, the wine producers in the regional “Bourgogne” appellation that were specifically located in the Côtes de Beaune and Nuits obtained a new title, Bourgogne Côte d’Or, for their wines, becoming an identified regional appellation corresponding to the geographical sectors inside the overall Bourgogne appellation.

The vines are next to the vineyards of our Bourgogne Côte d’Or blanc, near Fixin, from several diverse parcels with 50-10-year-old vines, planted with a unique massal selection Pinot Noir.

Vinification in tank, spontaneous fermentation that lasts 15 days. Aging in tank for 18 to 24 months.
