Marsannay Blanc

A completely different appellation on its own, this wine has characteristics of exotic fruits, floral notes, a balance of freshness and richness which evokes the great white wines of the Côte de Beaune.

Producer advice
Pair with white meat: poultry (chicken in a cream sauce à la Gaston Gérard), veal, pork (filet mignon in mustard sauce…). Try pairing it with risotto, or eastern Asian cuisine, sushi for example, which will bring out the fragrance of the chiseled flavors of the Chardonnay grape.

Considered to be the golden gateway to the Côte de Nuits, the Marsannay AOC stretches out over the villages of Chenôve, Marsannay-la-Côte and Couchey. Si la présence de vignes est attestée dès le VIIème siècle, le prestige du vignoble est reconnu depuis fort longtemps. Les vins étaient présents sur la table de Louis XIV ou Louis XVI…

It is the only village appellation in Burgundy to make the 3 colors of wine: Red, Rosé, and White.

This is a blend of two lieux-dits: En Mormain and En Larrey, in addition to two other, smaller vineyards. Aging half in barrel, half in tank.
