Gevrey-Chambertin
In the spark of youth, this wine has a bright ruby color that, with age, takes on dark carmine and black cherry tints. Gevrey’s characteristic aromas of strawberry, blackberry, violet, common mignonette flower, and rose gain further complexity with age as they are joined by a bouquet of licorice, leather, and fur, with undergrowth and gamey accents.

Called a “wine for carnivores” this red wine offers up a beautiful structure that perfectly accompanies game cooked in a sauce, prime rib, or strong cheeses (such as the famous Époisses)!

Just to show to what degree this nectar plunges its roots into the entire history of Burgundian wine. The only village in Burgundy to possess 9 grand crus, this appellation continues to produce the stuff that wine-lovers’ dreams are made of!
Situated on the southern part of the appellation, not far from Charmes-Chambertin (Grand Cru), our vines are on the continuation of the alluvial and colluvial cone of the Laveau valley. Low yields and excellent ripening. Fully de-stemmed, cold fermentation. 24 months’ aging in barrel.
